How to Use These Links
New investigators can start with the IAAI and CFITrainer.Net for foundational training, then review NFPA 921 and NFPA 1033, which describe the accepted methodology and the professional qualifications for fire investigators. Public-sector investigators in Utah should also review the Utah Fire and Rescue Academy's certification information. Investigators who respond to rangeland or wildland-urban interface fires will find the NWCG wildland origin and cause guidance useful. If a link on this page no longer works, please let a board member know so it can be updated.
